This policy explains how SField handles data, permissions, and files on your device.
SField processes GIS project data that you import or create, including GPX, SHP, DXF, GeoJSON, KML, TIFF/GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, project metadata, layer styles, label settings, attribute values, analysis-ready normalized GeoJSON, exported PDF files, raster tiles, MBTiles outputs, and project package exports. Pin photos captured with the built-in camera or selected from your gallery are stored locally in app-private storage. GPS coordinates, UTM, altitude, date/time, map thumbnail, app icon, and reverse-geocoded address strings (village, kecamatan, kabupaten, province) are embedded directly into pin photo stamps on your device before the photo is saved — no photo or location data is uploaded to any server.
Imported files are processed primarily on your device. SField stores working files in app-private storage and may create cached derivatives such as GeoJSON, analysis metadata, raster descriptors, tiles, diagnostics, and temporary import files to support rendering, identify/analysis, and export workflows.
Storage/document access is used only when you explicitly choose files through the system picker, open files with SField from another app, or export outputs. Location access is used only when you use map centering, UTM/coordinate display, Compass, pin-from-GPS, or location-based tools. The app does not continuously track your background location. Camera access is used only when you open the built-in CameraX viewfinder from the pin form to capture a field photo — the camera is never accessed in the background. Attaching an existing photo uses the system file/photo picker, which grants access only to the specific photo you choose (no broad photo-library permission is requested).
If Google Play Billing is enabled, SField may query your purchase status to determine whether Pro features are available. Billing data is handled through Google Play services. SField does not store your payment card or billing credentials locally.
When you export PDF, CSV, GeoJSON, MBTiles, or project packages, the resulting files are written to locations that you choose or to standard device storage such as Downloads. Once exported, those files are subject to the security and backup settings of your device.
Map basemaps and optional environmental data (weather, elevation, air quality, fire hotspots, and earthquakes) may request data over the network depending on the tool you use. The basemap tile provider (OpenFreeMap) may receive standard network information such as your IP address and the tile coordinates required to display the map; the Kalimantan basemap and the map fonts are served from the developer's own server (api.ahmedseko.com). Weather, elevation, air-quality, place-name search, and coarse IP-location lookups are routed through the developer's own server (api.ahmedseko.com), which forwards only the search text and/or an approximate coordinate (or your IP) to the upstream service (place search uses Photon/OpenStreetMap). Optional fire-hotspot and earthquake layers send only an approximate map area (a bounding box) to NASA FIRMS and the U.S. Geological Survey respectively; the optional BMKG earthquake layer downloads a public Indonesian feed without sending any location; the optional Global Forest Watch deforestation layer is a global tile service (only standard tile coordinates are requested, no location is sent). These requests carry no personal data, photos, account information, or device identifiers. The pin camera stamp feature uses the Android device Geocoder to resolve GPS coordinates into address strings (village, kecamatan, kabupaten, province). On most Android devices this Geocoder is backed by Google's geocoding service and sends an approximate field coordinate to resolve the address; no personal data, photo content, or account information is included in that request.
Geo AI layer analysis sends layer data to a private FastAPI backend server (api.ahmedseko.com) operated by the developer. Specifically: SHP layers send GeoJSON feature geometry and properties for topology and attribute analysis; GeoTIFF and GeoPDF layers send geographic bounds and, for GeoPDF, the base64-encoded PDF file for vector polygon extraction; GPX layers send GeoJSON feature data for track analysis. AI text and image analysis are produced by Google Gemini using an API key that YOU add in Settings (Geo AI stays off until you add one). When you use it, the relevant layer data — and, for image analysis, the rendered image — are forwarded with your key to Google's Gemini API; your key is used only for that request and is never stored on the developer's server. On Gemini's free tier, Google may use the submitted content to improve its products. No account credentials or device identifiers are included, and Geo AI is only contacted when you explicitly tap the AI analysis button.
SField also lets you optionally connect your own third-party map, imagery, elevation, routing, and backup services under Settings → Map data services / Map default / Backup: a custom basemap URL (with a key for services such as MapTiler or Mapbox, or any URL of your own), a WMS/tile layer URL, a WMTS server browsed via WMTS Connect, an OpenTopography DEM download, a routing provider (OpenRouteService or Mapbox), or a WebDAV backup server. In every case the request — and any API key or WebDAV credentials you enter — goes directly from your device to the server you specified; SField's own server is not involved unless you deliberately choose one of its endpoints (e.g. weather/elevation/place search above). These keys and credentials are stored encrypted on your device (Android EncryptedSharedPreferences), the same way as your Gemini/FIRMS keys, and are only ever sent to the service you configured them for. (A custom basemap or WMS/tile connection set up before this feature shipped keeps working exactly as it did — its key stays embedded in the saved URL rather than moving to the encrypted store, until you reconfigure it.) You are responsible for using only a source, plan, or account you are licensed to use for a commercial app — SField shows this reminder in each of these setup dialogs.
SField is a commercial application. All third-party map, imagery, and environmental data used in the app are either public-domain or licensed for commercial use under open licenses, and are used in compliance with those licenses — including the attribution shown in Settings → Data Sources & Credits. These sources include: map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); basemap vector tiles from OpenFreeMap (free for commercial use, no key) plus a Kalimantan basemap self-hosted on the developer's server; fire-hotspot data from NASA FIRMS via VIIRS sensors on SNPP, NOAA-20, and NOAA-21 (U.S. Government, public domain); earthquake data from the U.S. Geological Survey — USGS (public domain) and BMKG, Indonesia's official geophysics agency (public government data); terrain tiles from AWS Terrain Tiles (public domain); deforestation/tree-cover-loss tiles from Global Forest Watch (Hansen/UMD, CC-BY 4.0); weather and air-quality data from Open-Meteo (CC-BY 4.0), served from the developer's self-hosted instance; AI analysis and in-app assistant powered by Google Gemini (each user supplies their own API key); on-device land cover classification using EfficientNet-Lite0 (Google MediaPipe, Apache 2.0); road snapping via a self-hosted Project OSRM instance (BSD 2-Clause); place-name search via Photon (OpenStreetMap data, free for commercial use); and coarse IP geolocation routed through the developer's own server as a fallback only. SField does not depend on any data source that is restricted to non-commercial use only.
The optional BYO connections described in Section 6 (custom basemap, WMS/tile layer, WMTS Connect, DEM, routing, WebDAV backup) are servers of your own choosing, not sources SField bundles or curates — they are governed by that provider's own terms and licensing, not the sources listed above, and it's your responsibility to only use one you're licensed for.
SField processes data primarily on your device and does not require an account or collect a personal profile. Where limited data is transmitted (see Sections 6–7), it is handled in line with applicable data-protection laws, including Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 of 2022, "UU PDP") and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because the app keeps no user accounts and no central database of personal data, your rights to access, correct, or delete data can generally be exercised directly on your device — by deleting layers, clearing the cache, or uninstalling the app. SField also follows the Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the Data Safety disclosures on its store listing. The app is intended for professional and general audiences and is not directed at children.
SField does not require a user account for core local GIS workflows. The app does not ask for your name, email address, password, or personal profile to import, view, analyze, or export local project data.
Project files, cache, diagnostics, and generated outputs remain on your device until you delete layers, clear cache, uninstall the app, or remove exported files manually. Some intermediate files may also be removed automatically when imports fail or when cache cleanup runs.
SField uses app-private storage for internal working data where possible. API keys and credentials you enter for optional BYO services (Gemini, FIRMS, OpenTopography, routing, custom basemap/WMS/WMTS, WebDAV) are stored encrypted on-device via Android EncryptedSharedPreferences, not as plain text — this applies to any such connection you set up or reconfigure from this version onward; see Section 6 for the one exception. Exported files stored in shared device folders may be accessible to other apps or users depending on your Android version and device security settings.
You are responsible for reviewing sensitive spatial data before export or sharing. If your datasets contain confidential coordinates, operational routes, or personal information, you should secure the device and exported files appropriately.
This privacy policy may be updated as SField adds new storage, cloud, billing, collaboration, or analytics capabilities. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

This policy explains how SField Web (sfield.my.id) handles data in your browser. There is no account or sign-up.
SField Web processes GIS project data that you import or create in your browser — GPX, SHP, DXF, GeoJSON, KML, layer styles, symbology, labels, drawings, bookmarks, image overlays, custom online source configurations, and project metadata. Everything is stored in this browser's local database (IndexedDB), on this device only. No project data is uploaded to any server unless a specific feature you use requires it — see Section 6.
Imported files are parsed and processed in your browser, not on a server. Working data — parsed geometry, cached tiles, generated exports — stays in the same browser-local database. Clearing this site's browser data, or switching browser or device, starts fresh with nothing carried over (unless you've set up an optional backup feature yourself).
SField Web requests browser permissions only when a feature you use needs them — Location for map-centering, GPS, or coordinate tools; Camera for the pin-photo capture tool. These follow your browser's own permission model: granted per-site, revocable anytime from your browser's site settings, and never accessed in the background.
SField Web has no billing or in-app purchases. Every feature is available directly in the browser with no account or payment required.
Exported files (PDF, CSV, GeoJSON, MBTiles, images, animations) are generated in your browser and download directly to your device through your browser's own download mechanism. SField's servers are not involved in storing these files.
Default basemap tiles, place-name search, and a Kalimantan-region basemap come from OpenFreeMap/Photon (OpenStreetMap data) via the developer's own server (api.ahmedseko.com), which proxies these for browser compatibility (CORS) and serves the app's own map fonts. Optional environmental layers — weather, elevation, air quality, NASA FIRMS fire hotspots, USGS/BMKG earthquakes, NASA POWER climate, and Global Forest Watch deforestation — are also routed through this server; each request carries only the coordinates or bounding box the feature needs, never personal data.
Geo AI layer analysis and the Help Assistant send layer data — or, for image analysis, a rendered image, or your typed question — to the developer's server, which forwards it to the AI provider (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Groq, OpenRouter, or DeepSeek) you configure with your own API key in Settings. Your key is used only for that request and is never stored or logged on the developer's server. Raster Analysis itself needs no AI key.
SField Web also lets you connect your own third-party map, imagery, elevation, and routing services: a Custom Online Source (an XYZ tile URL, a WMS layer, or a WMTS server browsed via WMTS Connect), an OpenTopography DEM download, or a routing provider (OpenRouteService or Mapbox). In most cases the request — and any API key you paste into the URL — goes directly from your browser to the server you specified; SField's own server is not involved. A small number of sources whose tile servers don't send the access headers a browser requires (Planet Basemaps, Global Forest Watch) are instead routed through the developer's server, which adds only that access header and forwards your request — and, for Planet, the API key you provided — straight through; it is not stored there. Animation Builder follows the same pattern: it fetches map tiles for the area and months you choose from NASA GIBS or Microsoft Planetary Computer directly, or from Planet Basemaps through that same proxy.
Custom source configurations and any API key you enter (Planet, FIRMS, your AI provider, routing) are stored as plain data in this browser's local database — browsers have no equivalent of a mobile OS's secure enclave, so this is the same origin-scoped privacy any other site data on this browser gets. Keys are sent only to the service you configured them for. You are responsible for using only a source, plan, or account you are licensed to use.
SField Web also collects pseudonymous usage analytics on the developer's own server: a random browser ID links visits, feature events, timestamps, browser/OS, and viewport size, to understand usage and improve features. Per-tab sessions estimate visible and active time. Analytics never includes your name, email, IP address, coordinates, project contents, typed text, or chat messages, and is never shared with a third-party analytics service. Detailed events and sessions are kept for 90 days; first/last-seen metadata until the browser has been inactive for 90 days. You can turn this off anytime from About → Privacy Policy inside the app; clearing this site's browser data also resets the browser ID and this preference.
SField Web is provided as a free web application. Third-party map, imagery, and environmental data used by default are public-domain or licensed for uses consistent with this app, including the attribution shown in About → Data Sources & Credits. These include: map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); basemap vector tiles from OpenFreeMap (free, no key); place-name search via Photon (OpenStreetMap data); fire-hotspot data from NASA FIRMS via VIIRS on SNPP, NOAA-20, and NOAA-21 (public domain); earthquake data from USGS (public domain) and BMKG, Indonesia's official geophysics agency; weather and air-quality data from Open-Meteo (CC-BY 4.0); climate normals from NASA POWER; deforestation/tree-cover-loss tiles from Global Forest Watch (Hansen/UMD, CC-BY 4.0). Animation Builder additionally offers NASA GIBS true-color imagery (free, no key), Microsoft Planetary Computer's Landsat Collection 2 (free, no key, public USGS/NASA data), and Planet Basemaps monthly mosaics (requires your own Planet account and API key).
The optional BYO connections described in Section 6 — custom basemap/WMS/WMTS sources, AI providers, routing, OpenTopography — are servers of your own choosing, not sources SField bundles or curates; they are governed by that provider's own terms and licensing, not the sources listed above, and it's your responsibility to only use one you're licensed for.
SField Web processes data primarily in your browser and does not require an account or collect a personal profile beyond the pseudonymous usage analytics described in Section 6. Where limited data is transmitted (see Sections 6–7), it is handled in line with applicable data-protection laws, including Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 of 2022, "UU PDP") and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because the app keeps no user accounts and no central database of personal project data, your rights to access, correct, or delete data can generally be exercised directly in your browser — by clearing this site's browser data. The app is intended for professional and general audiences and is not directed at children.
SField Web does not require a user account. The app does not ask for your name, email address, password, or personal profile to import, view, analyze, or export local project data.
Project data, cached tiles, and generated exports remain in this browser's local database until you clear this site's browser data, delete a project or layer within the app, or your browser itself evicts storage under its own quota rules. Files you've downloaded follow your own device's file management from then on.
SField Web uses browser-local storage (IndexedDB) for project and working data. API keys and credentials you enter for optional BYO services are stored as plain data in that same browser-local database — see Section 6 for why no stronger encryption is available to a web page. Downloaded files are subject to your device's own security and backup settings.
You are responsible for reviewing sensitive spatial data before export or sharing. If your datasets contain confidential coordinates, operational routes, or personal information, secure your device and any exported files appropriately, and be mindful of who else can access this browser profile.
This privacy policy may be updated as SField Web adds new storage, network, AI-provider, or analytics capabilities. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Kebijakan ini menjelaskan bagaimana SField Web (sfield.my.id) menangani data di browser Anda. Tidak ada akun atau pendaftaran.
SField Web memproses data proyek GIS yang Anda impor atau buat di browser — GPX, SHP, DXF, GeoJSON, KML, style layer, simbologi, label, gambar, bookmark, overlay gambar, konfigurasi custom online source, dan metadata project. Semuanya disimpan di basis data lokal browser (IndexedDB), hanya di perangkat ini. Tidak ada data project yang diunggah ke server mana pun kecuali fitur tertentu yang Anda pakai memerlukannya — lihat Bagian 6.
File yang diimpor diproses di browser Anda, bukan di server. Data kerja — geometri hasil parsing, tile cache, hasil ekspor — tetap di basis data lokal browser yang sama. Membersihkan data browser situs ini, atau berpindah browser/perangkat, membuat semuanya mulai dari awal (kecuali Anda mengatur sendiri fitur backup opsional).
SField Web meminta izin browser hanya saat fitur yang Anda pakai membutuhkannya — Lokasi untuk pemusatan peta, GPS, atau alat koordinat; Kamera untuk fitur capture foto pin. Izin ini mengikuti model izin browser Anda sendiri: diberikan per situs, dapat dicabut kapan saja dari pengaturan situs browser Anda, dan tidak pernah diakses di latar belakang.
SField Web tidak memiliki billing atau pembelian dalam aplikasi. Semua fitur tersedia langsung di browser tanpa akun atau pembayaran.
File hasil ekspor (PDF, CSV, GeoJSON, MBTiles, gambar, animasi) dibuat di browser Anda dan diunduh langsung ke perangkat Anda lewat mekanisme unduhan browser Anda sendiri. Server SField tidak terlibat dalam menyimpan file-file ini.
Tile basemap default, pencarian nama tempat, dan basemap wilayah Kalimantan berasal dari OpenFreeMap/Photon (data OpenStreetMap) lewat server milik developer (api.ahmedseko.com), yang menjadi proxy agar kompatibel dengan browser (CORS) dan menyajikan font peta milik aplikasi. Layer lingkungan opsional — cuaca, elevasi, kualitas udara, titik api NASA FIRMS, gempa USGS/BMKG, iklim NASA POWER, dan deforestasi Global Forest Watch — juga disalurkan lewat server ini; setiap permintaan hanya membawa koordinat atau bounding box yang dibutuhkan fitur tersebut, tidak pernah data pribadi.
Analisis layer Geo AI dan Help Assistant mengirimkan data layer — atau, untuk analisis gambar, gambar yang dirender, atau pertanyaan yang Anda ketik — ke server developer, yang meneruskannya ke penyedia AI (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Groq, OpenRouter, atau DeepSeek) yang Anda konfigurasi dengan API key milik Anda sendiri di Pengaturan. Key Anda hanya dipakai untuk permintaan itu dan tidak pernah disimpan atau dicatat di server developer. Raster Analysis sendiri tidak memerlukan key AI.
SField Web juga memungkinkan Anda menyambungkan layanan peta, citra, elevasi, dan routing pihak ketiga milik Anda sendiri: Custom Online Source (URL tile XYZ, layer WMS, atau server WMTS yang dijelajahi lewat WMTS Connect), unduhan DEM OpenTopography, atau penyedia routing (OpenRouteService atau Mapbox). Pada sebagian besar kasus, permintaan — dan API key apa pun yang Anda tempel di URL — dikirim langsung dari browser Anda ke server yang Anda tentukan; server SField sendiri tidak terlibat. Sejumlah kecil sumber yang server tile-nya tidak mengirim header akses yang dibutuhkan browser (Planet Basemaps, Global Forest Watch) justru disalurkan lewat server developer, yang hanya menambahkan header akses tersebut dan meneruskan permintaan Anda — dan, untuk Planet, API key yang Anda berikan — langsung apa adanya; key tidak disimpan di sana. Animation Builder mengikuti pola yang sama: ia mengambil tile peta untuk area dan bulan yang Anda pilih langsung dari NASA GIBS atau Microsoft Planetary Computer, atau dari Planet Basemaps lewat proxy yang sama.
Konfigurasi custom source dan API key apa pun yang Anda masukkan (Planet, FIRMS, penyedia AI Anda, routing) disimpan sebagai data biasa di basis data lokal browser ini — browser tidak punya padanan secure enclave sistem operasi mobile, jadi ini privasi origin-scoped yang sama seperti data situs lain di browser ini. Key hanya pernah dikirim ke layanan yang Anda konfigurasikan. Anda bertanggung jawab untuk hanya memakai sumber, plan, atau akun yang memang berhak Anda pakai.
SField Web juga mengumpulkan analitik penggunaan pseudonim di server milik developer: ID browser acak menghubungkan kunjungan, event fitur, timestamp, browser/OS, dan ukuran viewport, untuk memahami penggunaan dan meningkatkan fitur. Sesi per-tab memperkirakan waktu terlihat dan waktu aktif. Analitik ini tidak pernah menyertakan nama, email, alamat IP, koordinat, isi project, teks yang diketik, atau pesan chat Anda, dan tidak pernah dibagikan ke layanan analitik pihak ketiga. Event dan sesi detail disimpan 90 hari; metadata kunjungan pertama/terakhir sampai browser tidak aktif selama 90 hari. Anda bisa mematikan ini kapan saja dari About → Privacy Policy di dalam aplikasi; membersihkan data browser situs ini juga mereset ID browser dan preferensi ini.
SField Web disediakan sebagai aplikasi web gratis. Data peta, citra, dan lingkungan pihak ketiga yang dipakai secara default merupakan domain publik atau berlisensi sesuai penggunaan aplikasi ini, termasuk atribusi yang ditampilkan di About → Data Sources & Credits. Sumber ini mencakup: data peta © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); tile vektor basemap dari OpenFreeMap (gratis, tanpa key); pencarian nama tempat via Photon (data OpenStreetMap); data titik api dari NASA FIRMS via VIIRS di SNPP, NOAA-20, dan NOAA-21 (domain publik); data gempa dari USGS (domain publik) dan BMKG, badan geofisika resmi Indonesia; data cuaca dan kualitas udara dari Open-Meteo (CC-BY 4.0); normal iklim dari NASA POWER; tile deforestasi/tree-cover-loss dari Global Forest Watch (Hansen/UMD, CC-BY 4.0). Koneksi BYO opsional yang dijelaskan di Bagian 6 — sumber basemap custom/WMS/WMTS, penyedia AI, routing, OpenTopography — adalah server pilihan Anda sendiri, bukan sumber yang di-bundle/dikurasi SField; tunduk pada ketentuan dan lisensi milik penyedia tersebut, bukan sumber-sumber di atas, dan menjadi tanggung jawab Anda untuk hanya memakai yang memang berhak Anda pakai.

SField Web tidak mewajibkan akun pengguna. Aplikasi tidak meminta nama, email, password, atau profil pribadi Anda untuk mengimpor, melihat, menganalisis, atau mengekspor data project lokal.
Data project, tile cache, dan hasil ekspor tetap berada di basis data lokal browser ini sampai Anda membersihkan data browser situs ini, menghapus project/layer di dalam aplikasi, atau browser Anda sendiri menghapus storage sesuai aturan kuotanya. File yang sudah Anda unduh mengikuti manajemen file perangkat Anda sendiri sejak saat itu.
SField Web memakai penyimpanan lokal browser (IndexedDB) untuk data project dan data kerja. API key dan kredensial yang Anda masukkan untuk layanan BYO opsional disimpan sebagai data biasa di basis data lokal browser yang sama — lihat Bagian 6 soal kenapa tidak ada enkripsi lebih kuat yang tersedia untuk halaman web. File hasil unduhan mengikuti pengaturan keamanan dan backup perangkat Anda sendiri.
Anda bertanggung jawab untuk meninjau data spasial sensitif sebelum diekspor atau dibagikan. Jika dataset Anda berisi koordinat rahasia, rute operasional, atau informasi pribadi, amankan perangkat dan file hasil ekspor Anda dengan tepat, dan perhatikan siapa lagi yang bisa mengakses profil browser ini.
Kebijakan privasi ini dapat diperbarui seiring SField Web menambahkan kemampuan penyimpanan, jaringan, penyedia AI, atau analitik baru. Penggunaan aplikasi setelah pembaruan berarti Anda menerima kebijakan yang telah direvisi.
